Dr Josephine Woodhams, Director of Programmes
As UKRIO’s Director of Programmes, Dr Josephine Woodhams is responsible for coordinating and delivering the organisation’s growing portfolio of projects and initiatives, working closely with colleagues, stakeholders, and members of UKRIO’s expert community. Her role supports UKRIO’s mission to promote the highest standards of integrity in research across all disciplines and sectors. Alongside overseeing programme delivery, Jo plays a key role in strategic planning and stakeholder engagement, helping to shape UKRIO’s long-term impact and ensure its work remains relevant, responsive, and aligned with the needs of the research community.
Prior to UKRIO, Jo worked as a Senior Research Associate with over 10 years’ experience of designing and performing experiments in photobiology and nanomedicine at London’s Global University – UCL. During her research career, she contributed to collaborative cancer research projects with partners within the EU and USA. She has a Ph.D. in Medicine (Clinical Studies).
