UKRIO responds to consultations on research integrity and related issues, including those by the UK Government and Parliament.
Our responses draw upon UKRIO’s unique role and expertise and our considerable experience in helping researchers, organisations and the public with issues of research conduct across all subject areas. In addition to written consultation responses, UKRIO has also been called upon to give oral evidence at the House of Commons.
UKRIO’s responses to recent consultations on research integrity and related issues are shown below. A selection of our responses to past consultations can be found here.
- March 2017: House of Commons Science and Technology Committee inquiry into research integrity
- November 2017: supplementary evidence to the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee inquiry into research integrity
In January 2018, Sir Bernard Silverman, Chair of UKRIO’s Trustees, and James Parry, our Chief Executive, gave evidence to the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee’s ongoing inquiry into research integrity. You can watch a video of the session online and a transcript of the session is available on the Committee’s website.
