International Collaborations
As misconduct in research does not respect international boundaries, UKRIO participates in discussions and initiatives to support good governance of research led by international organisations such as the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the European Network of Research Integrity Offices (ENRIO), of which it is a founder member.
UKRIO has worked with the OECD and other research integrity organisations in other countries to create templates for international agreements to facilitate investigations of alleged misconduct in research on cross-boundary projects, as well as on the promotion of good practice in research.
As a member of ENRIO, UKRIO shares lessons learned from its experiences in supporting good research practice in the UK. Membership of ENRIO also allows us to draw upon the considerable expertise of its member organisations in sustaining research integrity and addressing poor practice. We see ENRIO as a valuable resource for all European countries involved in research and look forward to seeing it grow.
