Publication ethics involves many different areas. In this webinar, our speakers will focus on three of the most pressing and problematic, outlining issues researchers and their institutions need to be aware of, discussing problems that can arise, and providing guidance on how to address these.
- Dr Irene Hames will discuss the issues researchers face in getting appropriate credit for their research contributions, the impact problems and disputes can have on their lives, professional and personal, and what can be done to help avoid problems arising.
- Dr Jane Alfred will discuss how the process and practice of peer review is evolving to address community concerns about its robustness, fairness, transparency and inclusivity, and to counteract recent systematic efforts to undermine its integrity.
- Jana Christopher will talk about image integrity in research publication.
