SpotOn London 2012: discussion session on research misconduct

The Counterbalanced science blog reports that it will be co-ordinating a discussion session on research misconduct at SpotOn London next month.

SpotOn London is an annual two-day conference hosted by nature.com for anyone interested in how science is communicated and carried out online. This year’s event is taking place 11-12 November at the Wellcome Collection Conference Centre in central London.

Information on the session can be found on the Counterbalanced website and the programme for the conference is available here. The session’s panellists include Dr Ginny Barbour, Chief Editor of PLOS Medicine, Chair of the Committee on Publication Ethics and a member of UKRIO’s Advisory Board.

Update 2nd November: the organisers of the session have a piece in today’s Guardian which discusses issues of academic misconduct.
