Research integrity training and development workshop: 16 September 2015

Delegate registration is open for our workshop ‘Research integrity: training and development’

The Concordat to Support Research Integrity states that a key feature of a good research environment is the provision of ‘suitable learning, training and mentoring opportunities to support the development of researchers.’ However, universities face a number of issues in ensuring that appropriate support and development activities are in place for their research staff and research students.

Held in central London, this workshop will discuss challenges involved in delivering research integrity training and how they can be overcome. Universities must be able to identify the particular obstacles that they face and confidently put in place the right kinds of support and development activities that are best suited to their own institutional profile and structure.

As part of this one-day event, UKRIO will share training materials on research integrity that are currently in development. Our aim is to provide a working ‘tool kit’ for developing and enhancing research integrity support, as well as designing and delivering development activities, with a clear rationale for long-term research integrity support and, in particular, enabling institutions to develop in-house expertise in this area.

Further information, including how to book your place, can be found here.

Please note that this event is for members of UKRIO subscriber institutions only. If you are not sure if your organisation is a subscriber, a list can be accessed here. If your institution would like to learn more about the benefits of supporting UKRIO, please contact us.
