One-day workshop 1 April 2014 – ‘Authorship: Promoting good practice and resolving disputes’
UKRIO is pleased to open delegate registration for our upcoming workshop ‘Authorship: Promoting good practice and resolving disputes’, taking place on 1 April 2014 in central London
Facilitating good practice in authorship is often challenging. Different disciplines have different norms, while the requirements of academic journals can vary a great deal. Career pressures can encourage researchers to cut corners and disputes over authorship can be difficult to resolve. This workshop will focus on the discussion of good practice in authorship and how to promote high standards within institutions.
Confirmed speakers: Dr Elizabeth Wager and Dr Richard Smith of UKRIO’s Advisory Board, Professor Mark Everist of the University of Southampton and Dr Ron Iphofen of the Academy of Social Sciences.
This event is the first in a series of UKRIO workshops on specific aspects of research integrity. The workshops will have a practical focus and cover promoting good practice within an organisation as well as responding to problems and concerns. The workshops will be held primarily for those research organisations which have chosen to subscribe to UKRIO but we may schedule additional events for non-subscribers if there is sufficient demand.
Further information, including how to book, can be accessed here.
Please note that this event is for members of UKRIO subscriber institutions only. If your institution would like to learn more about the benefits of supporting UKRIO, please contact us.
