New revision of Code of Practice for Research
UKRIO would like to thank the Health Research Authority and is grateful to Clive Collett for feedback on the Code of Practice for Research.
The following revision has been made to the current edition:
- Paragraph 3.6.13 has been amended with additional information and is now split into two paragraphs, 3.6.13 and 3.6.14.
UKRIO continues to welcome feedback from organisations and researchers on the current edition.
Summary of 2023 update to the Code
The 2023 update has received a comprehensive revision and expansion of the existing text, including changes in terminology, incorporation of new recommendations for best practice, adherence to Commitments of the UK Concordat to Support Research Integrity, and reflecting changes in legislation or forthcoming updates to legislation.
The document is restructured and formatted to make navigation and understanding as easy as possible.
Several new topics have been added, including guidance on:
- Open Access to Research Outputs, Data, Findings or Outcomes
- Funding and Collaboration in Research and Enterprise
- Research Culture
- Research Assessment
