Government Chief Scientific Adviser to open UKRIO annual conference

Sir Patrick Vallance, Government Chief Scientific Adviser will be opening our 2020 conference for UKRIO’s 100+ subscribing institutions and invited guests, taking place Wednesday 6 May at the Royal College of Physicians in London. Sir Patrick will share his perspective on the research integrity agenda, drawing on his considerable experience in research and his work as Government Chief Scientific Adviser.

UKRIO’s annual conference is the principal research integrity event in the UK and, since 2013, has been an essential resource for the research community and policy makers. Our conferences focus on how to support a culture of high quality and ethical research, how to respond to common issues and pitfalls, and to address sloppiness, errors and misconduct in research.

Expert speakers from UKRIO and other organisations will give updates on new developments within the sector, such as the publication of the revised Concordat to Support Research Integrity . The conference will also provide a forum for delegates to discuss the issues which matter to them and share their own experiences.
