European Research Council adopts new Scientific Misconduct Strategy
The European Research Council (ERC) has adopted a new Scientific Misconduct Strategy to safeguard research integrity in ERC-funded projects.
In a press release, the ERC’s Scientific Council – its governing body – stated that the strategy aims ‘to detect and vigorously treat… any suspected breach of research integrity concerning an ERC applicant or project.’ It hopes that the Strategy will enable the ERC to ‘…maintain the highest scientific and ethical standards at all stages of ERC competitions.’
