Annual statement on research integrity template

Writing an institutional annual statement on research integrity will be a little easier following the launch of a template developed by UKRIO on 15 November 2022.

The Concordat to Support Research Integrity Signatories Group asked us to develop this standard template earlier this year. The template is meant for research institutions, such as universities, to use when making annual research integrity statements. The Signatories Group will pilot its use for one year. An annual statement is one of the five commitments institutions make to support good research practice and a healthy research culture when they sign up to the Concordat to Support Research Integrity.

We based the annual statement template on our work advising institutions on how to fill out their statements. We also drew on our Concordat to Support Research Integrity Self-Assessment Tool. The feedback we received from the research integrity community while developing the template was invaluable.
