Embracing AI with integrity: from principles to practice

Embracing AI with integrity: from principles to practice

10 June 2026, 10:00-11:00 BST

On 10 June, UKRIO will host a training webinar on the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in research. As AI tools become increasingly integrated across the research lifecycle, the session will explore how researchers can use these technologies in ways that uphold the principles of research integrity and support trustworthy research practices.

Drawing on UKRIO’s Embracing AI with Integrity guidance, the training will examine how established principles such as honesty, transparency, accountability, rigour, and respect can be applied to the use of AI in research. Participants will gain practical insight into common challenges and considerations associated with AI-enabled research activities, from compliance with laws and regulations to ethical decision-making, protecting the research record, and communicating research responsibly.

The session forms part of UKRIO’s wider work to develop a train-the-trainer toolkit that will support research professionals in delivering AI and research integrity training within their organisations and teams.
