Publication of House of Commons Science and Technology Committee’s report on peer review

The House of Commons Science and Technology Committee has published the report of its inquiry into peer review in scientific publications. The inquiry concludes that in order to allow others to repeat and build on experiments, researchers should aim for the gold standard of making their data fully disclosed and made publicly available.

It also concludes that all UK research institutions should have a specific member of staff leading on research integrity and the receipt of misconduct allegations, a concept we have championed for some years. The full report is available here.
