Update: UKRIO Self-Assessment Tool for The Concordat to Support Research Integrity
Universities UK has undertaken a review of The Concordat to Support Research Integrity on behalf of its signatories. UUK’s review has focussed on the ways in which the Concordat has been implemented by universities and the strengths and weaknesses evident in the approach, as well as the views of stakeholders on challenges and progress since the publication was launched in July 2012.
UKRIO informed the review process by sharing its considerable experiences of supporting the implementation of the Concordat in UK universities. We also shared with UUK an anonymised summary of the views of 29 of our subscriber institutions, who gave their feedback on what was working well and what might need some adjustment.
The review of the Concordat has yet to be released but Jamie Arrowsmith of UUK will be discussing its findings and recommendations at our annual conference.
UKRIO will be keeping a close eye on how the Concordat’s stakeholders, such as the funding councils and the research councils, respond to the review’s conclusions. We will keep you informed of developments and revise our Self-Assessment Tool for the Concordat accordingly.
