Jake Eliot joins UKRIO as Director of Policy and External Affairs

We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Jake Eliot as UKRIO’s new Director of Policy and External Affairs.
In this role, Jake will lead UKRIO’s influencing, engagement, and policy development to support our mission to promote the highest standards of integrity in research. His work will drive the charity’s external engagement, encompassing communications, public affairs, and strategic initiatives, and will play a central role in strengthening UKRIO’s profile and impact across the research sector.
Jake brings several decades of experience in putting evidence and research into action to achieve change in policy and practice. A career-long champion of research-informed policymaking, he has extensive expertise in policy development, public affairs, and strategic communications across the social and research sectors.
Before joining UKRIO, Jake was Director of Research, Policy and Communications at PBE, the social sector think tank. He has also led policy and public affairs at the National Lottery Heritage Fund – the UK’s largest funder of heritage projects – as well as at the Money and Pensions Service and the National Housing Federation, the trade body for social housing providers.
We are delighted to welcome Jake to UKRIO and look forward to working with him as we continue to expand our engagement and influence in support of the highest standards of research integrity.
