How to join the pilot
Free learner allocation
Any UKRIO subscriber institution opting into the pilot will be allocated a number of free places. The number of free places each subscriber is entitled to is dependent on their ‘subscription tier’. There are three tiers, and the breakdown is as follows:
Subscriber Tier | # free learners allocated (included within your subscription) |
Tier 1 | 600 |
Tier 2 | 400 |
Tier 3 | 100 |
Actions required (timeline)
- ‘Opt in’: Subscribers must opt-in to access their free places by completing this form by Friday 5th April 2024 Each institution must submit only one opt-in form. At this point, you will also have the option to request additional learners above your free allowance.
- Register your learners: There is a four-week registration window from 15th April – 10th May 2024, during which you will need to register your learners in order to secure their free 12-month access. If you have an LMS, you will be able to register your users using your own system. If you do not have an LMS, you will send a URL link to your learners, and they will need to register themselves by providing an email address. You will not be able to register any free learners after 10th May 2024. Please read the Technical FAQs (p 5-6) on how to register learners.
- Learners complete the training: After they are registered, your learners will have 12 months to complete the training course. The pilot will run from April 2024 to March 2025
Additional places
Subscribers will have the option of adding more users (either over and above their free allowance or beyond the one-month registration period) at a discounted cost. If you are interested in this, please indicate your interest in doing so and the expected number of additional places when completing your ‘opt-in’ form. The deadline to complete the opt-in form is Friday 5th April 2024.
Once we have received all the completed forms, we will respond to confirm with you the charge and whether you wish to proceed.
Please get in touch with our team at any time if you have any further questions about additional places: info@ukrio.org
Feedback
To help us improve our training offer for UKRIO subscribers, and to take part in the 12-month pilot, we ask that course learners and subscriber representatives give feedback on the course. Learners will be asked to take an evaluation survey upon completion of the course, while administrators will be asked for light touch feedback on course registration and integration with their LMS at the 3- and 6-month mark of the pilot.
For non-subscribers
This training course and its pilot are only available to subscribers. If you wish to become a UKRIO subscriber and have access to the online training course, please contact us: info@ukrio.org.
Please note that organisations that subscribe to UKRIO after April 2024 will not be eligible for free access to this pilot. Instead, they will be able to request to purchase course places at a discounted rate and this will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
