Research Ethics Committee Members Regional Workshop – Hosted by University of St Andrews
10am – 4pm, Wednesday 27 March 2020
UKRIO offers a range of training sessions for members of research ethics committees (RECs) and researchers. As well as bespoke sessions for individual UKRIO subscriber institutions, we are also holding workshops which can be attended by REC Chairs and Members from any organisation. The first workshop is being hosted by the University of St Andrews in March and we are grateful for their support. Additional workshops in other regions of the UK will be announced shortly.
You do not have to be a member of the host organisation to attend a workshop. We are working with a variety of host organisations across the UK, so sooner or later there will be a workshop near you.
This is a “must” workshop for Research Ethics Committee Chairs and Members to learn about best practice and tackle challenging questions. The one-day workshop will discuss approaches to ethics review in different research institutions, applying ethics theory, consent in research, challenges of diverse research and collaborative research and open discussion of hot topics in research ethics. Delegates will also have the opportunity to share their own experiences and talk about the issues which matter to them.
Further information, including the programme for the day and speaker biographies, is available on the event webpage.
This event is open to both UKRIO subscribers and other institutions.
- Standard delegate rate is £140.
- Reduced delegate rate is £100, if you are from a UKRIO subscribing institution.
Delegate rate includes refreshments and lunch.
