Times Higher Education reports that HEFCE may introduce compliance with the forthcoming Concordat to Support Research Integrity as part of its financial memorandum with universities.
UKRIO sees the Concordat as a useful contribution to sustaining research integrity in the UK. The key issues are to make sure that it is appropriate and useful, without imposing additional burdens, and that organisations are given in-depth on its implementation. While we are not a member of the stakeholder group which is developing the Concordat, UKRIO has been invited to advise on these issues. Our detailed response to the draft Concordat can be found here.
