Isla-Kate Morris sits on UKRIO’s Advisory Board as a professional who has worked in the research governance sector. Isla now works in health and social care regulation.
Isla has worked for the University of Sussex as a Research Governance Officer, for the University of Southampton as the Research Integrity and Governance Manager, and for the University College London Hospitals and UCL Joint Research Office as the Research Quality and Safety Manager. Before Isla worked in research governance, she worked in clinical audit and research for the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
Isla has produced guidance notes and other materials for UKRIO. Isla was involved in the Nuffield Council for Bioethics project on Ethical Issues of Children and Young People in Clinical Research. Isla was the ethics special interest group lead for the Association of Research Managers and Administrators until 2017 and has been volunteering for UKRIO since December 2015.
