In light of recent statements from the Prime Minister and advice from Public Health England (PHE) and the UK Government, UKRIO’s annual conference scheduled for 6 May 2020 has been postponed.
It will now be taking place on Friday 16 October 2020 at the Royal College of Physicians, 11 St Andrews Place, London NW1 4LE.
UKRIO is looking into holding a virtual research integrity event on 6 May, though not a full conference. We are exploring what this might look like and will circulate an update shortly. If you would be interested in contributing to our virtual gathering, please contact us for more information.
UKRIO’s annual conference is the principal research integrity event in the UK and, since 2013, has been an essential resource for the research community and policy makers. With a range of expert speakers and representatives from UKRIO, our conferences focus on how to support a culture of high quality and ethical research, how to respond to common issues and pitfalls, and to address sloppiness, errors and misconduct in research.
Expert speakers from UKRIO and other organisations will give updates on new developments within the sector, such as the publication of the revised Concordat to Support Research Integrity . The conference will also provide a forum for delegates to discuss the issues which matter to them and share their own experiences.
Please note that our annual conferences are for members of UKRIO subscriber institutions only. Each UKRIO subscriber is allocated a complimentary place, with additional places available at the standard delegate rate.
If you are not sure if your organisation is a subscriber, a list can be accessed here. If your institution would like to learn more about the benefits of supporting UKRIO, please contact us.
This conference is aimed at anyone with an interest in research integrity, research ethics, ensuring quality and ethical standards in research, or in addressing poor practice, mistakes or misconduct in research.
Please note that this event is for members of UKRIO subscriber institutions only. If your institution would like to learn more about the benefits of supporting UKRIO, please contact us.
